Scroll down the page to find scholarships in bold which are currently activated and accepting applications. The scholarships are posted in order of due date so you may prioritize an application if you are completing several. Please follow the application instructions carefully and see your counselor if you have questions regarding the application procedure. You may also check a college's website for scholarships offered by their institution and remember - it is important to respect all deadlines.Your counselor in the Guidance Office can review your application and attach transcripts and letters of recommendation if required.
Packaging your scholarship: You want to put your best foot forward and personalize your scholarship application. It helps to include a cover letter (introducing yourself), resume' and letters of recommendation. If the scholarship is searching for candidates with strong leadership, community or volunteer experiences, you should include a letter of recommendation from a person who can address your strengths in those areas. Photographs personalize an application even further and a picture certainly is worth a thousand words!

FAFSA! FAFSA! FAFSA!
Students who wish to be considered for any financial aid whether it be a grant, loan, work study or merit award need to file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) beginning October 1st, 2016 for the 2016-2017 academic year. The FAFSA should be completed no later than March 1st if you wish to be considered for any state aid and are applying to Maryland colleges including universities, community and technical schools. Apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov using the attached FAFSA worksheet as a guide. You will need a copy of your parents and your 2015 tax return or W-2, social security numbers, birthdates and income records.

Check out the websites at the bottom of this page for additional college, scholarship & financial aid information.
